Clement Greenberg
Clement Greenberg (January 16, 1909 - May 7, 1994) was an influential American art critic closely associated withModern art in the United States. In particular, he promoted the Abstract Expressionist movement and was among the first critics to praise the work of painter Jackson Pollock.
